Henceforth, this blog shall be my repository for writings. Stories, dreams, ideas shall go here. If I am compelled to add my blatherings about others' writings, others' stories, those too shall reside alongside my own.
The title and URL of the blog comes from the Latin word for the noun form of "Lie." A story that isn't true. In the case of the much longer url title, a little lie, a fib. Because when we're talking about stories, about writing and fiction, really - aren't they all? And - isn't that the point?
I don't take wisdom from much that people say, but just once I was able to learn a valuable lesson from a drunken Kiwi Seaman. "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story," he said.
